Standard of wireless LAN

Standard of wireless LAN has 11ax, 11ac, 11n, 11a, 11 g, six of 11b now. It is necessary for each apparatus to support the same standard to communicate. Many products support plural standards. Person having wireless LAN apparatus will already choose product corresponding to standard same as apparatus on hand. Wi-Fi
(Wi-Fi)
It is wireless LAN that adopted IEEE 802.11 standard that is International Standard. In addition, we may say point varying in encrypting key for each cordless handset connecting when security is stronger than WEP. In addition, encrypting key to be used for TKIP is generated by secret key cryptography called "RC4", and the Specifications is nonpublic. AES

There are many commonalities on technical extension of WPA, but point adopting CCMP (Counter-mode CBC-MAC Protocol) in encrypting protocol is greatly different from WPA basically. We strengthen security very much by adopting AES, and, in CCMP, encryption algorithm has characteristic that it includes manipulation detection function of data again.
Multi-SSID

SSID is inherent ID to avoid interference of access point in Wi-Fi. Much access point names may be listed when we raise wireless LAN apparatus in downtown and train, but the displayed name is SSID. Wireless LAN router has SSID, but can connect different apparatus in each certification, encrypting protocol at the same time as wireless LAN router with multi-SSID function can use plural SSID at the same time. Therefore, it might be said that, for example, we used SSID set in standard that we could easily connect such as WEP from game console which did not transmit and receive important data using SSID which did high secure setting from PC which dealt with important personal information.
RT (router) ← → AP (access point) change over Switch RT and changeover switch of AP are included in wireless LAN router. RT is "router fashion" and changes Switch here when we use router function that wireless LAN router has built-in.
